When your refrigerator stops cooling and you want to get a idea on what could be causing the problem then you should know that in order for a refrigerator to cool proper it should have 2 fans running and a compressor. You will be able to locate one fan in the freezer area (note: some refrigerator fans turn off when the door opens, push door switch in to test fan) and the other fan in the back located next to the compressor.
Check compressor by listening (you should hear the compressor running.... compressors are usually hot)
